An unemployed Spanish waiter is on trial for allegedly chopping his mother into 1,000 pieces, storing them in lunch boxes and eating them – with the help of his pet pooch, according to a report.
Alberto Sánchez Gómez (28), who was arrested in February 2019, admitted in court on Wednesday that he heard voices saying he had to kill his mother, Maria Soledad Gómez (68), when he was watching TV in their apartment. in Madrid, reports the Sun.
He said the voices were the voices of neighbors, acquaintances and celebrities, according to the outlet, but insisted he had no recollection of circumcising his mother or consuming her.

Investigators said they found parts of Soledad’s remains in Tupperware containers in their refrigerator and bones in drawers in the apartment near the famous Las Ventas bullring in the capital.
According to the report, state prosecutors accused the alleged cannibal of strangling his mother after an altercation earlier that year.
“The accused transferred his mother’s body to the bedroom and laid it on the bed with the intention of making her body disappear. To do so, he cut her up with a carpenter’s saw and two kitchen knives,” reads the deed of accusation.

“I can not stop thinking about what happened. I was ill for a long time and took refuge in drugs,” Sánchez Gómez wrote in a letter from prison.
“I have heard voices for a long time and had hallucinations. All of this has led me to the worst thing that has happened in my life,” he added in the letter published by local media.
