SpaceX Falcon 9 launched with a Turkish satellite from Cape Canaveral

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – After a very busy year, SpaceX plans to launch 2021 with the first launch from Thursday from Cape Canaveral and launch a Turkish communications satellite.

The Space Coast launched more than 30 rockets last year and promises to clinch them in 2021, as SpaceX will build its Starlink satellite constellation to provide global internet, launching a new group of spacecraft with increasing frequency.

First, a Falcon 9 rocket will launch a satellite named Turksat-5A from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Space Launch Complex 40 between 20:28 and 00:28 on Friday night.

Turksat is a satellite company in Turkey. According to the Turkish news website AA.com, the broadband satellite will provide television services and expand broadband data for Turkey, the Middle East, Southern Europe and part of Africa.

After launch, the satellite will remain in a geostationary orbit for up to 30 years.

According to the 45th Weather Squadron, the most important weather for Thursday night’s launch window is cumulus clouds and thick mid-level clouds. If the uplift is delayed by 24 hours, conditions improve to 80%, but again cloud cover is the main problem.

SpaceX plans to repair the Falcon 9 booster on a drone in the Atlantic after the lifting. According to the current forecast, the weather risks for the recovery of the boost are low.
