Nearly 100 passengers were evacuated from a Southwest Airlines plane at Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport after receiving a written threat.
Spokesmen for Southwest and the FBI’s office in Baltimore confirmed to FOX Business that the threat took place Monday night.

“Earlier this evening, Flight 2104 on board the crew identified a written threat on arrival at Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Our crew followed the protocol by notifying the appropriate authorities and moving the plane to a remote location while we wait for further instructions, ‘a Southwest spokesman wrote in an email. “The authorities immediately arrived and boarded the plane and transported the 95 passengers and six crew members safely by buses to the airport terminal.”

Exact details of what was written in the threat or the manner in which it was delivered were not shared on request.
The plane was apparently cleaned and passengers were reunited with their luggage.

“We have fully cooperated with the authorities as they have taken extra precautions to secure and thoroughly inspect the aircraft,” Southwest’s spokesman wrote. “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience, the safety of our employees and customers always remains our top priority.”
Representatives of the BMI airport did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment.

So far no arrests have been reported. The FBI helps law enforcement at the BMI airport.
