This is the bizarre moment that a female shopper took off her underwear to use as a make-shift face mask, after being warned by staff that she would not be served without one.
The woman without a name was filmed in a Pick n Pay supermarket in South Africa after a security guard asked her to put on a face mask.
She claims she does not have one, but after threatening to remove her from the supermarket, the woman grabs under her dress and swings off her string to use instead.
In the clip, the woman can be seen standing in a long dress of Paisley print and sandals while waiting at the checkout.
A female security guard walks slowly towards her before exchanging the few words.
Suddenly, the disgruntled shopper bends over and puts her hand in her dress to reach for her underwear.
She puts it on before slipping the black string from her feet and instead placing it over her face.
Other shoppers look on in amazement as they shout, “What’s going on?”
The confusion continues as the buyer puts his thumbs in the guards’ direction and asks, “Happy?”

The woman without a name was filmed in a Pick n Pay supermarket in South Africa when she threw away her underwear and used it as a moving machine.

The disgruntled shopper bent down and put her hand up in her dress to get to her underwear. Then she puts it on before slipping the black strap off her feet and placing it over her face instead.
The guard starts to radio someone on her radio, while the shopping sails next in the debate.
She waves her arms to the side and says: ‘Personally I find it acceptable, it’s a mask …
“And honestly, I think the bacteria on your underpants are less than on the mask.”
She repeats herself one more time before she starts clapping and says, ‘Well done. Brilliant.’
But not everyone has the same view because they criticized the woman because she did not follow the rules for the face mask in the first place.

The confusion continues as the buyer puts his thumbs in the guards’ direction and asks, “Happy?”
The video has since gone viral on Facebook, where one user wrote: “Stay home and go online shopping if you have no idea wearing a mask.”
Another netizen said: ‘It makes me sick. She is worldwide aware of the law. We have a serious virus and (she thinks) a G-string will save her.
‘Come, grow up. What should your family think? ‘
In December 2020, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized that it is not a criminal offense not to wear a face mask.
He said: ‘Someone who is not wearing a mask can be arrested and prosecuted.
“Upon conviction, they will be punishable by a fine or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or by both a fine and imprisonment.”
