Sophie Turner shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift’s newly released song “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” which the singer wrote in 2008, the same year she dated Joe Jonas.
“It’s NOT a bop,” the 25-year-old actress, who married Jonas in May 2019, wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday, along with a clip from the song’s lyric video.
Swift, 31, quickly took note of Turner’s compliment, which he posted on her own account moments later.
‘Forever the knee bends for the [Queen] from the North, ”she adds, referring to a nickname for the Emmy nominee’s” Game of Thrones “character, Sansa Stark.
Turner’s reaction was surprisingly tame, as so many fans speculated that Swift’s harsh text was about Jonas (31) and that his name appeared on Twitter for several hours on Wednesday morning.
The song is one of many that freed Swift from ‘the vault’ to promote the upcoming release of her 2008 album ‘Fearless’. Its lyrics contain: “Hello, sir perfectly fine / how is your heart after you broke mine? / Mr. Always in the right place at the right time, baby / Hello, mr. Comfortably cruel / mr. Everything revolves around you / I have been teacher misery since you said goodbye / and you are sir perfect. “
While the Grammy winner did not confirm that Jonas was her mystery muse, she did suggest on Twitter that ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine “is based on a true story as opposed to the” songs based on fiction to avoid drama “on her 2020 albums,” Folklore “and” Evermore. “
Swift and the Jonas Brother member reportedly dated from July to October 2008. After their breakup, she claims on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ that he dropped her off during a 27-second call.
Jonas later claims in a letter to fans that Swift is the one who hangs on to him.
“Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk,” he apparently said at the time.
Swift admitted in 2019 that she was sorry to explode Jonas, and he apparently forgave her.
These days, things seem solid between the exes. In her ‘Folklore’ song ‘Invisible String’, Swift hinted that she had sent a baby gift to Jonas and Turner’s daughter, Willa, who was born in July 2020.
The ‘Lover’ singer has been dating Joe Alwyn since 2017.
