Sony PS5 reload today was another disaster

Yesterday, Sony Rewards started advertising a PlayStation 5 stock, which of course aroused the interest of many people trying to secure one of the consoles. The consoles were only in stock a while ago, and it seems that the situation has quickly changed for many people in a new stock disaster, while consoles were sold out in the blink of an eye, while people are struggling to get even a PlayStation 5 on their trailers .

Of course, this’s what we’re expecting now – every time the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X is back in stock anywhere, there’s always a crazy streak when people try to secure a console before they sell out. This PlayStation Rewards stock has had some positive things, as Sony has given a warning on the PlayStation 5 list that buyers may only allow a single console, and that if they try to place an order on more than one console instead, order would be canceled.

This is something you would like to see, because no one wants to take the fight to someone who buys multiple consoles to resell it, but also the Sony Rewards stock has had some complications. Not only did stock seem very limited – something Sony itself mentioned in the tweet announcing this stock – but because these PlayStation 5 consoles were sold by PlayStation Rewards, people had to buy them with reward points instead of real money.

The PlayStation 5 (with an extra DualSense controller) offers 56,998 reward points, and it’s safe to assume that most people who want to buy a console do not save that kind of balance. Those without the required number of reward points had the option to buy those points with cash (at one cent per point), but this of course added another step to a process that needed to be done as quickly as possible.

In short, there are a lot of upset people who respond to Sony’s tweet about the PlayStation Rewards stock, but it seems to be on the same course these days, as stock like this definitely disappoints anyone who has not got a console. We are keeping an ear to the ground for more information on future inventory, and we will let you know when we spot it.
