Sony PS5 deal lowers DualSense controller by $ 10 at Woot

Sony's DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 is $ 10 off today — Ars Technica

A $ 10 discount on Sony’s DualSense controller is placed on top of the contemporary Dealmaster, bringing it to $ 60 at Amazon subsidiary Woot. This is the first major deal we’ve seen for the PlayStation 5 gamepad, which has been sold at major retailers for $ 70 since the PS5’s launch last year.

Our PS5 review gave a favorable impression of the DualSense: it’s a bit larger than the old DualShock 4, yet comfortable to hold, and has an impressively detailed haptic rumble system, a built-in microphone for voice chat (with a built-in mute feature), USB-C charging and the same general layout that PlayStation owners have become accustomed to over the past few decades. There has in the months since the launch of the PS5, which is worrying, there have been reports of controllers suffering from push buttons and getting underway, although Sony appears to be covering the issues under warranty (albeit with an extra shipping cost). Either way, with PS4 controllers only supported on PS4 games and the market for third-party PS5 controllers almost barren, the DualSense is more or less the only option PS5 owners have. If you needed an extra today – and were in fact able to buy a PS5 – this deal would reduce the hassle to some extent.
