Sony launches ‘Silent White’ WH-1000XM4 headphones because the black gap is too hard

Imagine yourself on the scene. It’s summer, locks are easing and you’re ready to venture out into the world again. You feel brave after a year of being stuck, brave enough that you chose a pure white outfit. You have read how to make the color work like this Vogue and GQ, but suddenly the disaster strikes. You notice something. ‘The edge top quality wireless headphones! “Are you calling out to anyone in particular,” they are only available in black, blue, or this strange thirsty cow ?!

That’s fine, do not worry. Sony is releasing a limited edition white WH-1000XM4 headphone in all white. Better yet, it’s really white, not the orthopedic brown Sony that’s been trying to succeed as ‘silver’ all these years. Sony promises that these ‘Silent White’ headphones are ‘even more stain resistant’, which will hopefully help make them look pristine for at least a while. Unfortunately, their version is limited and will only be available while stocks last.

Internally, it is the same as the excellent WH-1000XM4 headphones that the company released last year. This means you get excellent sound quality, noise cancellation and microphone performance and the ability to connect with two devices simultaneously.

The white headphones are available in Europe from May for € 430 / £ 400, but there is no sign of the color on Sony’s US website as of this writing. We contacted the company to inquire about US availability.
