Sony launched its 2021 Play at Home initiative last month by giving away a free copy to all PlayStation owners Ratchet & Clank. This week, Sony has the next step for its program – which includes nine free indie games on March 25 and Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition on April 19th.
Play at Home first launched in 2020, as Sony was looking for a way to give fans a fun reason to stay within and social distance. Both Unknown: The Nathan Drake Collection and Travel was at stake during the event, and the promotion became an immediate success. Then Play at Home played at the beginning of the month with Ratchet & Clank.
However, this latest series of games is perhaps the best offer yet.
Play free games at home in March
PlayStation has some of the best indie games on the market, many of which will be on sale on March 25th. Here’s the full list of titles you can download for free later this month:

This is quite an impressive series of free games. Best of all, it’s available to all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners, even if you’re not signed in to PS Plus.
All nine matches on the list are awarded, but Astro Bot Rescue Mission may be the striking title. You need a PSVR headset to take part in the action, but this is probably one of the best VR games on the platform. This unique 3D platformer requires you to control Astro with the DualShock 4 controller, while also using your body to navigate obstacles and see obstacles. It’s a fantastic use of VR technology – and a game that any PSVR owner would love to have in their library.
For non-VR players, Enter the Gungeon is certainly one of the most popular games on offer this month. This helps a ragtag team of adventurers as they search for a gun that can erase the past. Along the way you will shoot through hordes of enemies, pick up powerful weapons and brave extravagant bosses in a fierce action from above.

How to claim your free games
To claim your free list of games, just go to the PlayStation Store March 25 at 20:00 PT and April 22 at 20:00 PT. Then navigate to the page for each of the games you are interested in, and you can download it for free.
If you have not picked up Ratchet & Clank yet you still have until April 1st to do it too.
Even if you do not have the storage space to install the games, it is in your best interest to claim them. This permanently adds each title to your library – ready to install when you have more space available.
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition free on April 19th
Once you’ve worked through the series of indie games, Sony is offering Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition free on April 19. This promotion lasts until May 14, so make sure you take the time to pick up one of the highest rated PlayStation games of all time.
Horizon Zero Dawn follows the story of Aloy, a young hunter who wants to learn more about her mysterious past. The game takes place in a distant future where the world is flooded with mechanical animals, offering you a beautiful open world to explore as you work through the long adventure.
Claim your free copy of Horizon Zero Dawn works in the same way as in previous titles – simply navigate to the PlayStation Store listing during the promotion, then you’ll see it for free.
