Sonia Valentín is the new Wapa Production Director

The Wapa Television generic announcement of Sonia Valentín’s names as Production Director and while Frank Dobek is coming Director of Operations. Ambos will be carrying on its cargo the lead of one of the canal’s largest and most dynamic departments starting Monday, March 15th.

Valentín will be responsible for overseeing and supplementing the needs of local productions, as well as supporting the administrative and content management. También, responsible for the coordination and production of the special events. In addition, it will take on the responsibility of contracting talent and staff specialized for the development of new projects, among other functions.

Frank Dobek, for his part, who owns a 25-year-old tray industry in the television industry, will be responsible for managing the channel’s staff and technical staff, including camera technologists, lighting technicians, coordinators, editors and audio, among others. . In the same way, technical support will be provided to other departments.

Sonia Valentín is a graduate of the Department of Communication of the University of Sagrado Corazón. Postgraduate studies with concentration in China at the University of Maine, as well as acting at the HB Studio in New York. In the long run of his career, he produced and acted in more than one dozen decades. Also, he has directed films and theatrical works. Valentín is the founder of Copelar Productions, the producer of the two creative programs such as “Entre nosotras” and “Juntos en la manana”, broadcast by Wapa. For the last three years, he has been working on the “Viva la tarde” program as a presenter of the analysis and discussion segment “Calentando la tarde”, which culminates in the proximity of Jews to dedicate themselves to their new features.

Frank Dobek has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics from the San Juan College of Technology with a degree in Communication. In 1993, he started his career on Coquí.net, installing the first internet servers in Puerto Rico. In 1995 it was transferred to WIPR, where commencement with the Department of Electronics, led by the Director of Technology and, posteriormente, Supervisor of the Department of Engineering.
