The son of a judge in the Brooklyn Supreme Court was arrested Tuesday in connection with the riot at the U.S. Capitol last week, a source familiar with the case confirmed to Fox News.
Aaron Mostofsky has reportedly been ‘arrested by the FBI at his brother’s home in Brooklyn’ and will appear before a magistrate’s judge in the Eastern District on Tuesday afternoon.

Mostofsky is facing several charges for his role in the siege of Wednesday, including theft of government property, knowingly entering or staying in a restricted building or site without legal authority, knowingly, with the aim of obstructing government affairs or official functions, engaging in disorderly conduct in the capital grounds, and unlawful entry and disorderly conduct.
Viral photos show a maskless Mostofsky holding a police riot shield and wearing a bulletproof vest over his own fur legs.
Mostofsky’s appearance will be virtual. He will then be extradited to Washington, DC, where the case is being prosecuted.
Mostofsky is the son of Shlomo Mostofsky, a prominent modern Orthodox figure in the city and former president of the National Council of Young Israel.
According to Gothamist, Elder Mostofsky was elected to the Kings County Supreme Court last January.
Mostofsky’s brother, Nachman Mostofsky, is the vice president of the South Brooklyn Conservative Club.
Aaron Mostofsky told the New York Post that he believed he had been “cheated” in the presidential election. That was a version of commentary in a video he took in the Capitol building.

“I do not think 75 million people voted for Trump – I think it was almost 85 million,” he said. “I think certain states that have been red for a long time are turning blue and being stolen, like New York.”
The assault on the U.S. Capitol building resulted in the deaths of five people, including 42-year-old Capitol police officer Brian D. Sicknick.
