Emoji Evolution is a simple puzzle game in which you “combine different elements to find a new one” to – and wow, it really escalates – “solve the most important dilemma of mankind.” Steam users seem to like it quite a bit …or do they?
Look again at the image from the Steam page, and you will see that the recent reviews are ‘mixed’, but that the developer of the game has repeated the look of a game with ‘very positive’ recent and overall reviews by the developer / publisher to change names to ‘very positive’. Due to Valve’s font and color choices, it has the same effect as the overview section of a Steam page. As Under reporter (and Kotaku-ite from another age) Patrick Klepek post it on Twitter: “Well, this is one way to mislead people into thinking your game has positive reviews on Steam!”
Uh, valve? Hey, valve ??? You may not want to allow developers to do this.
