Since the reopening of the pandemic, Disney World has made many changes to adapt and create a safe theme park environment for guests. One of the most important things currently suspended at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is FastPass +.
Guests used to be able to make a FastPass + reservation on their My Disney Experience app before arriving at Disney Park (or even in) Disney Park to choose from the long queues for which Walt Disney World may be known. to strike. When the parks reopened in July, FastPass +, along with many other deals typically offered at Disney World, was eventually suspended during the pandemic period and suspended for the time being.
Now, months later, certain things like Park Hopping have returned to the park, but FastPass + remains unavailable to guests.

Recently we reported that the FastPass + directions on Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom were smeared, and now Kilimanjaro Safaris has done the same. While we were in Animal Kingdom today, we noticed that the FastPass + sign, which would normally guide guests with appropriate passes in a separate queue, was no longer visible.

Why is Disney starting to remove or cover up their FastPass + boards, and what does this mean for the service?
Well, Disney has not noticed that FastPass + is coming to an end, but maybe we will not be able to see the service return for some time. With the advent of the 50th anniversary, there will be visitors to Orlando who have never visited Disney World. It can be confusing for Guests to see a sign that says FastPass + on every attraction if you have no idea what it is for, or if you can use it. There is also the possibility that Disney will change the queue for Kilimajaro Safaris to accommodate both parts of the queue.

Past members who worked at the attraction said the FastPass + sign will remain covered for the time being.
For now, we do not have a clear answer as to why the movements are apparently starting to disappear, but over time we will get a clearer picture if this is the new normal or something Disney is just doing with a select few attractions.
