Someone completed Hitman 3’s Dubai level in 9 seconds

Hitman 3 only came out this week and even though we see players absolutely crushing the completion time of the first level.

If you have been looking at the rankings since the game officially came out, you will know that some enterprising players are already crushing the six levels in the game, but Dubai in particular looks particularly fast.

The world record for the level is currently nine seconds. Nine! Two speedrunners have been verified by speedrun.com (via PCGamesN) and completed the category% for On Top of the World in less than ten seconds.

Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus manage to achieve the remarkable achievement by shooting the two targets you need to complete the level as soon as it enters the beginning of the mission.

With a firm hand that is enough, you can enter the level, run up the stairs of the foyer into the Scepter (where the level is set) and shoot the two targets while mingling with their contemporaries and business partners.

Perhaps the interesting part of the achievement is how the category% is still not absolutely perfect: if you look at the videos on this page, you can see that both runners try to reduce the time of their run by making sure that their initial lamb is lined up perfectly.

If you think ‘well, they are not doing it properly because they do not have the Silent Assassin rank’, then we have some disturbing news for you. According to Speedrun.com, the Silent Assassin category was beaten at the same level in an honestly ridiculous 17 seconds.

Hitman 3 scored some good reviews, with Alex Donaldson, VG247, making it ‘an appropriate conclusion to one of the best trilogies in the game’.
