Some Alabama NFL Draft Notes

Now that Alabama’s season is over, the Crimson Tide players who are on draft draft will soon announce whether they will be pro or – in some situations – return to the Tide for another season.

Here’s a note on some of the draft qualifying guys based on information shared by sources with AL.com:

It is expected that four underclassmen will eventually choose to leave for the NFL: cornerback Patrick Surtain, fullback Mac Jones, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and defensive line Christian Barmore. It is possible that all four may eventually be the concept of the first round.

Redshirt junior outfielder Christopher Allen, an All-SEC pick from the second team that led the conference by 13 tackles to a loss, is expected to return to school instead of becoming a pro. NFL scouts considered a potential day 2 NFL draft pick.

The belief is that junior cornerback Josh Jobe, another potential Day 2 pick, is likely to stay in Alabama instead of leaving for the NFL.

Brian Robinson, who ran for 483 yards as Najee Harris’ backup for this season, is expected to be among the Crimson Tide seniors returning to school for another season as opposed to the NFL.
