The so-called ‘SoHo Karen’ has been arrested in Los Angeles on charges of attempted robbery and false accusations of assaulting a Black 14-year-old after she falsely claimed to have stolen her cellphone, an interaction recorded on video captured. According to New York, Miya Ponsetto (22) was arrested after a car chase Daily news. She fled from Manhattan, where the quarrel took place, to Los Angeles. She also allegedly tried to take Keyon Harrold, Jr.’s phone. Ponsetto’s own phone was later found in an Uber and returned to her. Her lawyer tells The New York Times that her client did not act out of racial prejudice, but rather “simply because she felt anxious, stressed, in a corner, helpless, lost, alone, unsupported.”
