ERIE COUNTY, Ohio – Northeast Ohio provinces have issued snow emergency levels due to the snowfall Monday night.
Provinces under a level 3 advice:
- Erie County.
- Huron County.
Provinces under a level 2 advice:
- Ashland County.
- Lorain County.
- Medina County.
Provinces under a Level 1 advice:
Snow emergency ratings, according to the Ohio Committee on Severe Weather Awareness:
LEVEL 1: Roads are dangerous with snow blowing and drifting. Roads can also be icy. Motorists are asked to drive very carefully.
LEVEL 2: Roads are dangerous with snow blowing and drifting. Roads can also be very icy. Only those who feel the need to drive should be on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you need to report for work. Motorists must be extremely careful.
LEVEL 3: All roads are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one may drive during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or there is a personal emergency. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may be subject to arrest.
