Snow causes travel delays for Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder

The Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder both plan to travel later Wednesday afternoon for races to be hosted Wednesday night in other cities.

After meeting in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, the Blazers and Thunder experienced problems due to the snow in the area. The Trail Blazers made an announcement later this afternoon that they were leaving Oklahoma City after their original flight had to be postponed Tuesday night. Now the Blazers will fly to New Orleans and head straight to the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night for a 20-hour CT tip.

Oklahoma City will do the same, team officials told ESPN and went directly to FedExForum on Wednesday night to play the Memphis Grizzlies. The game is also scheduled for local tips at 8 p.m.

Earlier Wednesday, Memphis announced that fans will not be allowed in due to the winter weather conditions in the area. The Grizzlies attended fans for their game Tuesday night against the Pelicans.
