Snow blowers remembered amid winter storms due to amputation hazard

A popular snow browser is being recalled due to a security threat as severe winter storms have blown over most of the US

According to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Toro reminds 6,700 snow blowers because a faulty drill cannot disconnect when the lever is released.

No injuries were reported, the CPSC said. But five cases of failure have been reported to Toro.

The recall of the Bloomington, Minnesota, involves the Toro Power Max 826 OHAE Snowthrowers with model number 37802, according to the notice.

The snowflakes were manufactured in Juarez, Mexico, and sold nationwide from November 2020 to January 2021 at The Home Depot, Ace Hardware and other Toro dealers for approximately $ 1200.

Consumers can check the model and serial number on the back of their Snowthrowers. A list of affected serial numbers is available on Toro’s website.

Anyone who has one of the snowflakes can call Toro at 833-254-8856 or visit Toro’s website to find a service dealer who can fix the problem for free.
