Marijuana has become a great treatment for anxiety, pain control and sleep, but a new innovation takes the guesswork out of dosing new users.
Called Mode, the world’s first smart-vape cannabis dispensing device, presented the stage at the Consumer Electronics Show with a companion app.
The vape device has a touch slider that allows users to adjust their dose up to milligrams and is equipped with precision sensors to determine how much is inhaled.
It also includes a Haptic Guidance feature that vibrates gently to notify users when to inhale and when to exhale.
The companion app includes a control dashboard where users can access dosing schedules, product information, feedback, personalized recommendations and usage analysis.

Medical marijuana is legal in 34 U.S. states and is used to treat a range of species such as Alzheimer’s, Cancer and Chrohn’s disease.
It has also become a treatment for those suffering from anxiety and sleep disorders.
For a new smoker, however, it can be difficult to determine how much to inhale.
Izzy Kirsh, co-founder and co-CEO of Mode, said: “We initially planned to solve the dosing dilemma for people who need marijuana to treat injuries, ailments and other health-related issues.”

The company unveiled its flagship product at the Everyday Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The popular technology conference is usually held in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the coronavirus has forced it out of the conference room and into people’s homes.
The companion app includes a control dashboard where users can access dosing schedules, product information, feedback, personalized recommendations and usage analysis.
But the change has not stopped companies from showcasing their latest and greatest innovations.
Fashion was inspired by Kirsh, who realized that the need for personalized cannabis administration was after a person’s injury.
He partnered with Mark (Akiva) Wagner and Stephen Bates to design the platform, and the trio embarked on a comprehensive R&D investigation, collaborating with a world-class design and engineering team and $ 2.5 million raised to bring Mode to market.
