San Luis Obispo County Public Health officials on Thursday reported 51 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the province’s total to 20,017 confirmed cases by March 11.
The province also added three additional COVID-19 deaths. To date, SLO County has recorded 251 deaths attributed to the virus.
Health officials say 11 people are currently hospitalized. Another 309 strong at home and according to officials, 19,443 people recovered.
Twenty of the 38 licensed and crew members’ beds in the country are currently occupied. One of them is taken by a COVID-19 patient.

The location of 22 additional cases is investigated and another ten are mentioned as ‘other’, which includes communities with less than five cases. The Department of Public Health does not identify these sites.
TESTING
Joint COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.

VACCINATIONS
San Luis Obispo County has opened the following vaccination admissions:
- People 65 years and older
- Anyone aged 16-64 who is most at risk for severe COVID-19 illness or death due to serious health conditions
- Education and child care workers
- Emergency workers
- Food and agricultural workers
- Healthcare and community health workers
- Residents and staff for long-term care facilities
