San Luis Obispo County on Thursday added 412 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total to 12,597 confirmed cases on Jan. 7.
Health officials say 53 people have been admitted to the hospital, including 14 patients who are in the ICU. Another 2,988 people are recovering and health officials say 9,432 people have recovered.
According to California State’s online COVID 19 dashboard, there are currently 13 ICU beds available in San Luis Obispo County.
San Luis Obispo County attributed 95 deaths to COVID-19.

The location of 55 additional cases is investigated, and another nine are named as ‘others’, which include communities with less than five cases. The Department of Public Health does not identify these sites.
Joint COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
