SLO County reports 315 new COVID-19 cases, 1 additional death

San Luis Obispo County on Tuesday added 315 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total to 15,929 confirmed cases on January 19th.

Health officials say 53 people have been admitted to hospital. Another 2,443 people are recovering at home and according to health officials, 12,923 people have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County reports that 15 of the 38 licensed and manned conditions in the country are currently occupied. Seven of them are taken by COVID-19 patients.

The province also added an additional death toll, attributing a total of 136 deaths to COVID-19.

The location of 85 additional cases is investigated and another nine are referred to as ‘other’, which includes communities with less than five cases. The Department of Public Health does not identify these sites.

Joint COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
