SLO Co. reports 10 additional COVID-19-related deaths

San Luis Obispo County reports the deaths of another 10 people who had COVID-19.

Health officials say the patients were between the ages of 70 and 100.

San Luis Obispo County attributed 111 deaths to COVID-19.

The country also added 150 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the province to 13,735 confirmed cases on January 11th.

Over the weekend, an additional 694 cases were added to the total.

Health officials say 43 people have been admitted to the hospital, including 11 patients who are in the ICU. Another 3,150 people recover at home and health officials say 10,403 people have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County reports current ICU capacity at 66% with 13 of its 38 licensed and crew member beds currently occupied.

The location of 71 additional cases is investigated and another eight are named as ‘others’, which include communities with less than five cases. The Department of Public Health does not identify these sites.

Joint COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
