If you’ve eager to get your hands on a remake of Bethesda Game Studios’ iconic RPG, Oblivion, an unofficial remake might be best.
As the world holds its breath in anticipation of the next entry in the Noble role series, The Elder Scrolls VI, another major Elder Scrolls project gained momentum in the background.
Skyblivion – a modern production project that has been going on for almost a decade – is the attempt of an ever-growing development team eager to give The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion a little spit and polish, which puts the game in Skyrim’s engine. A new trailer has been launched for the project that gives us an update on the environments and quests … and it looks remarkably impressive.
Check out the trailer below.
In addition to an overview of the work done on the environmental assets and what has been done to sharpen the tasks in the role play, we also get a quick tour through a few other features.
A custom tool was created by the developer collective that enables them to use the Skyrim engine to enter searches from Oblivion – something that was too unstable to do reliably in previous constructions. We also see small changes to the UI that better fit the beautiful footage and style of the remake.
But when does it start? Will we see it before The Elder Scrolls VI emerges from its development cave? Can be.
“Despite the scale of this project, we are finally seeing the end of the road, but there is still work to be done,” the Skyblivion team said in the video. ‘Thank you very much for your support and sharing our work. It means the world to us. ”
If you would like to help with the project, you can always join the team via volunteers. “If you feel you can contribute to this project, we’d love to have you on the team. Visit our website to apply,” the team said in the video description.
Microsoft announced in September 2020 that it would acquire Bethesda for $ 7.5 billion; whether that means the next Elder Scrolls RPG is an exclusive Xbox remains to be seen.
