Sixth victim dies in Phillip Adams’ mass shooting

A sixth person shot by former NFL defensive back Phillip Adams has been killed.

Via WRAL-TV, Robert Shook died of injuries sustained Wednesday when Adams Shook and five others were shot in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Shook and James Lewis were HVAC workers who happened to be at the home of dr. Robert Lesslie was present at the time of the shooting. Lewis died at the scene, along with Dr Lesslie, his wife and two grandchildren. Shook died Saturday at a Charlotte hospital.

Ralph Norman, a member of the South Carolina Congress, said Dr. Lesslie had stopped giving medicine to Adams.

Adams’ father said that “football confused him”. Phillip Adams’ brain will be tested for CTE.

Adams, a seventh-round draft pick in 2010, played in the NFL until 2015.
