Tonight, the Sixers defeated the San Antonio Spurs at home, 134-99. In the first game with fans in the stands in Philly, the Sixers gave the Spurs the biggest loss in franchise history.
In the team’s first game of Joel Embiid’s absence due to a leg bruise, the Sixers rode a 46-21 third quarter to an easy victory over a decent Spurs team.
Ben Simmons returned to court for the first time after the All-Star interruption – he missed the team’s previous two games due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols. Simmons shook off early rust to count 14 points, nine assists, four rebounds and a steal in 26 minutes.
Tobias Harris was a staggering, game-high plus-36. He scored 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in just 29 minutes.
Seth Curry and Danny Green played well, scoring 21 and 16 points respectively.
Furkan Korkmaz has made all four three-point attempts off the bench to 16 points.
Eventually, Isaiah Joe and Bball Paul Reed returned from the G-League bubble, scoring five and two points respectively.
Good times.
The Sixers move to 27-12 and hold the team’s 1st seeded in the Eastern Conference.
