Sixers Bell Ringer: A Methodical Blast from the Mavericks in Dallas

Sixers Bell Ringer Season:

Joel Embiid – 18

Tobias Harris – 13

Ben Simmons – 7

Skud Milton – 5

Matisse Thybulle – 2

Danny Green – 2

Tyrese Maxey – 2

Dakota Mathias – 1

Furkan Korkmaz – 2

Tony Bradley – 1

Tonight, the Sixers took care of things on the road when Philly beat the Mavericks, 113-95.

It was a great win over a great team from start to finish and an overall impressive performance from Doc Rivers’ team as the Sixers improved to a whopping 20 games over 0.500 (37-17) in first place in the Eastern Conference. It was the team’s second win over the Mavericks in two events. The Sixers turned the ball over just 9 times to Dallas’ 15. Luka Doncic got his (mainly against Sixers not named Ben Simmons, I would add) with 32 points in 33 minutes, though he was -17 on the job was.

On the Bell Ringer!

Joel Embiid: 36 points, 7 rebounds, 2 ass, 14/15 FT, 2/3 3pt, 26 min

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers in Dallas Mavericks

Embiid was absolutely devastating tonight. Revolutions, tries, midfield, errors. Good defense. The full Joel experience. Dallas had no answer for him, despite trying four different centers on the MVP candidate at different points in the game.

Enjoy this example of Joel from tonight’s action:

Furkan Korkmaz: 20 points, 2 goals, 7/10 FG, 4/7 3pt, 18 minutes

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers in Dallas Mavericks

Korkmaz has had this going on lately. Love to see it. He was immediately off the bench for the Sixers tonight as the Turk still holds out his claim for the post-season minutes. What about the Korkmaz defense lately? Not bad! To get his hands in passing lanes, with his 6’7 frame to take care of guys. Well done.

Shake Milton: 10 points, 5 minutes, 1 st, +16, 24 minutes

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers in Oklahoma City Thunder

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

It might be overlooked, but I thought it’s a really good show for Shake off the bench tonight. He played under control throughout, turning the ball over only once and playing heavy minutes with 4/5 from the starting lineup, while Danny Green went on to rest in the first half. Shake also resisted a blow to the head during a layup, which fortunately turned out not to have seriously hurt him.
