U.S. border patrol agents stationed at Rio Grande City station on Saturday encountered two large groups of illegal immigrants to the United States, in a possible sign of a deepening crisis at the border.
CBP agents first responded to a report from a “large group” of illegal immigrants near Las Lomas, Texas, about five miles southeast of Rio Grande City, according to the U.S. Customs Border and Protection.
The agents arrested 134 illegal immigrants, 128 of whom were identified as family members. The agents determined that the individuals were from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

The back-to-back migratory groups come amid a recent influx of migrants to the southern border – something the Biden government refuses to call a ‘crisis’.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Monday that Biden’s government acknowledged that this was a major problem, but blamed former President Donald Trump.
“The last government has left us a broken and unworkable system and like any other problem we are going to do everything in our power to solve it,” she said.
Asked if the Biden government is the unprecedented number of migrants arriving at the U.S. southern border, he said ‘we definitely do’.
