Si Woo Kim broke his putter at The Masters, and now watch him sit with a 3-wood [VIDEO]

Update: 17:50 Kim made an easy hit at 18 and was clearly frustrated with the fog. He still made up a level with the tough last, and managed to break after breaking his club. It did not hurt him in the end, as he was -4 on Saturday, but between the two holes he had with a 3-wood, it is possible that he therefore left a shot on the course.

Updated 17:22 Kim missed a semi-feasible stop at the Par 3 16th, but otherwise it seems the lack of a flat stick has not hampered him so far. He’s on the highway at number 18 as we type it, and it’s one of the toughest greens on the track. We’ll see if he can knock one down here.

Hello Si Woo Kim, the South Korean golfer who is currently playing the back nine at Augusta National while winning the green jacket … without a putter.

With a try on the 14th hole, he broke his putter in frustration, and now he uses a 3-wood instead.

And here Kim breaks the Texas wedge. It seems like a less than ideal time to do it, but we’re all been there.

If you need a video of the three-putt, which technically was not a three-putt because he was just off the track for the first one, here it is.

Kim is currently playing the 16th hole, and we’ll see if that affects any shots that come home. But breaking a club while you’re in a major is just crazy. It’s one thing to do if you’re going to miss the cut or want to put repeated snowmen on holes, but Kim is at -4 and only three strokes behind leader Justin Rose who is at the clubhouse at -7!
