Shooting kills 2 people at Lehigh County Walmart: Police

WHITEHALL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Whitehall Township police are investigating a shooting Friday at a Lehigh County Walmart in which two people were injured.

The incident took place just before 6pm on the 2600 block of MacArthur Road.

Police say two people were shot.

Witnesses at the scene say the incident happened very suddenly.

“When we arrived at the parking lot, we saw one of the Whitehall police cars with the main entrance flying up near TJ Maxx and then on its way to Walmart,” said Scott Dias of Upper Macungie. “Within seconds, we saw more than five or six police cars arrive.”

Qusai Muhasen, New Jersey, said: ‘As I walk in, I hear like a’ tree tree ‘. I thought it was a car exhaust or something. ‘

There is no current word on the condition of the victims or a motive.

No further information has been released at this time by officials.
