Shia LaBeouf, Margaret Qualley divorced amid actors abuse, lawsuit: report

Allegedly, Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley said it was stopping.

The split comes as LaBeouf, 34, is facing a lawsuit filed by his ex, FKA Twigs, against him, in which she accuses the “Transformers” star of allegedly abusing her during their relationship.

LaBeouf and Qualley, 26, met during the filming of a ‘not safe for work’, or NSFW music video for the Rainsford song ‘Love Me Like You Hate Me’, according to People magazine.

However, the couple is no more, two sources told gossip magazine celebrity.

The insider said the actress is focusing on her career and “ready to get back to work.” According to People, she will be going to Canada soon to work on a new movie.

Spokesmen for the stars did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

FKA Twigs, born Tahliah Debrett Barnett, filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf late last year in which she accused him of physically, mentally and emotionally abusing her during their previous relationship.

At the center of the case is an incident in 2019 in which Barnett was driving as a passenger in a car driven “recklessly” by LaBeouf. According to the report, singer-songwriter LaBeouf accused him of “removing his seat belt and threatening to fall unless she expresses her love for him.”

Barnett accused LaBeouf of being rude to her throughout the trip, and at one point he “woke her up and choked her in the middle of the night,” the New York Times reported in December.

Barnett said the ‘Transformers’ actor also ‘assaulted’ her at a petrol station after she ‘begged to be left out of the car’.

Barnett accused LaBeouf of pulling over, pulling her suitcases out of the trunk of the vehicle and “throwing her against the car while screaming in her face,” according to the Times. She was then ‘forced’ into the car again.

Included in the case are additional allegations made by another former LaBeouf girlfriend, Karolyn Pho.

LaBeouf responded to the allegations Barnett and Pho made in an email response to the Times. He said ‘many of the allegations’ made against him were ‘not true’, and the actor also addressed his alcoholism.
