Sheryl Underwood went further into her heated encounter with her former co-presenter of ‘The Talk’ Sharon Osbourne last month, disputing Osbourne’s claim that she was ‘introduced’ by senior teachers at CBS.
The comedian discussed the incident in a new episode from three parts of her podcast, “The World According to Sheryl”, and said that Osbourne’s accusation that executives at CBS sent questions to Underwood to ask Osbourne was not true .
“What additional questions come from a driver?” asks one of Underwood’s co-hosts for podcast during Saturday’s episode.
“No … no, no,” Underwood replied.
Osbourne came under fire after shouting at Underwood on March 10 during an episode of ‘The Talk’, when the comedian asked her about her support for Piers Morgan, who was considering Meghan Markle’s experiences of dealing with racism and suicide during the public. her time as a working royal.
The show expanded after the exchange as the network conducted an internal investigation. CBS announced on March 26 that Osbourne’s actions did not match the values of the network and that the panel member had decided to leave the program.

Osbourne complained days after her tense encounter with Underwood at Entertainment Tonight that she felt offended by her co-host’s question, and she accused managers of setting her up by not preparing her properly – which she said was the customary use is. Osbourne called herself a ‘sacrificial lamb’.
‘Sheryl asked me these questions, which I did not know – and these were written questions – and then Elaine’s [Welteroth] by reading her questions, and I’m like, ‘I’m set. ‘
In an interview with Variety published last month, Osbourne accuses CBS executives of sending orders to ask Underwood about Morgan’s attacks on the Duchess of Sussex.
Elsewhere in her podcast, Underwood explained that she was serving as moderator that week and that she was holding cards when she interviewed Osbourne to keep track of all the ‘other segments’ and ‘other topics’ that happened that day.
She said she wrote down ideas on what to ask during the segment while talking to an executive producer.
‘So I start writing on my card, and I’m talking to an executive producer – not that they’re telling me what to say, they’re helping me form what I mean, and that’s right before the show starts, ” Underwood recalls. So I write on a marker: ‘I want to start with this and then I want to go after this and go after that. … Does that sound OK? Does that sound concise? That does not sound argumentative, does it? ”

CBS said in its statement on Osbourne’s departure that he “found no evidence that CBS executives organized the discussion or blinded any of the hosts.”
“At the same time, we acknowledge that the network and studio teams, as well as the showrunners, are responsible for what happened during the broadcast, because it was clear that the co-presenters were not properly prepared by the staff for a complicated and sensitive discussion. . race, ”the statement continued.
On March 12, Osbourne apologized to “anyone of color” for her behavior on the air earlier this week. Elsewhere in her interview with ET, she said she apologized to Underwood and that the comedian ‘did not return’.
Underwood said in her podcast over the weekend that she has not spoken to Osbourne since they were on the set. Asked if Osbourne called her, Underwood said no.
“I was looking through my phone …” Underwood joked.
Underwood said later in the episode that she received some text messages, but she did not specify who it was coming from.
‘I want to be clear, I was sent an SMS by … people … and I do not know if they want their business on the street, but I would say [I was reached out to] to say, ‘I understand what you’re going through and I know you need space,’ ‘Underwood later added. “It was texting.”
Osbourne has since told the Daily Mail that she texted Underwood to apologize and what she said were the text passages.
Osbourne also said she personally apologized to Underwood in the locker room after the meeting. Underwood said in an episode of her podcast last month that Osbourne approached her immediately after the exchange and that the two “flattened” it.
After Osbourne’s outburst on the air – she demanded that Underwood ‘educate’ her on how Morgan’s behavior could be considered racist, journalist Yashar Ali reported that she was accused of making racist and homophobic remarks about her former colleagues delivered.
Osbourne denies the allegations by her publicist Howard Bragman, who calls them ‘lies’ and a ‘reconstitution of history’.
