To celebrate the 98th birthday of the late Carol Shelby, Shelby American 98 is building special edition Shelby Super Snake Speedsters. The power comes from a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that delivers a staggering 825 horsepower (615 kilowatts) thanks to a Whipple Supercharger.
Customers can choose from a manual gearbox or automatic version of the Shelby Super Snake Speedster. Each transmission receives unique upgrades from Shelby American to handle the extra horsepower, which is double the stock output of a normal Mustang GT. The driving force is also strengthened to cope with this force to ensure that customers do not break their Mustangs during performance management.
