And, in the revered footsteps of far-right adult Milo Yiannopoulos and the apology of the black face, Megyn Kelly, Maher chose to use his influential platform to cry ‘cancel culture!In defense of another rich racist: Sharon Osbourne.
If you missed it, after Osbourne issued a full-fledged defense on air of Piers Morgan’s insensitive remarks to Meghan Markle about her day discussion The talk, she is confronted by two of her black co-hosts — Sheryl Underwood and Elaine Welteroth. “If you do not agree with someone, it does not make you a racist,” Osbourne replies.
Later in the conversation, Maher, without naming them, raised the allegations in the Ali report that Osbourne said anti-Asian insults, and Remini and the other women who came up with ‘snitches’ stories about Osbourne.
‘I do not even use those words. It’s not in my vocabulary, ”Osbourne offers, adding:“ These are dissatisfied ladies. ”
Then Maher argues that people as old as Osbourne or he himself should not apologize for their behavior.
‘I’m 65. I know who I am. “I do not need retraining,” said Maher.
I think a large number of people would disagree.
