Atlanta officials confirmed the fire ShaqThe iconic Krispy Kreme was caused by an arsonist … and now they say they’re looking for the suspect.
The famous donut shop – located on Ponce de Leon Ave. and tied it with Martin Luther King Jr. – was burnt to the ground shortly after midnight on 10 February.
Officials say 2 employees in the store were able to escape from the fire safely … but the place caused SERIOUS damage.

Now officials say they believe the fire was NOT caused by an accident, but rather by a person who wanted to see it burn.
Officials say they have a surveillance video of the suspect … and revealed the photos of the person early Friday morning. Officials added there is now a $ 10,000 reward for helping to identify the suspect.

“The fire that broke out at @krispykreme Donuts (295 Ponce de Leon) on February 10, 2021, is determined to be a result of ARSON,” officials said. “We are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect in these photos.”

The donut shop is now one of the most famous in the country … it was bought by Shaq in 2016 and gained notoriety in 1968 for donating boxes of treats to mourners who flocked to Atlanta to commemorate the death of MLK Jr.
Shortly after the fire, Shaq promised to restore the place … wrote on his social media: “we will bounce back better than ever.”
