Hipgnosis Songs Fund acquires the rights of the 145 songs of the Colombian song.

Shakira acaba to sell everything on her music catalog, has confirmed the NME review. The Colombian singer has signed an agreement with the Hipgnosis Songs Fund to sell the rights to its 145-song catalog, informs the firm of the inversion school (13).

Hipgnosis Songs Fund is a London-based company that manages songs and invests in musical intellectual property, cofounded in 2018 by Nile Rodgers and Merck Mercuriadis.

The company, which called Shakira ‘the queen of Latin music’, has acquired 100% of the author’s rights, benefiting from the 145 songs the artist has written, including his excerpts like Hips Don’t Lie, Whenever, Wherever, La Tortura, entre otros hits.

The value of the treaty has not been revealed, but it is said that the 43-year-old is embroiled in a fortune of millions with the sale.

Regarding the agreement, Shakira commented in a statement: “If Hipgnosis is a marvelous hog for my catalog and I am happy to associate with this company led by Merck that really values ​​the artists and their creations and is an ally of the composers, which is deeply concerned about the continuity of its songs ”.

Shakira started his career as a niece, grabbing his first CD in the 13th year of his career, before launching an international fame in 1995 with his album Pies descalzos, which included the excerpts Estoy Aquí, and Donde están los Ladrones, which lasted 11 weeks list of Latin album albums sold by Billboard.
