It’s official!
Shailene Woodley confirmed Monday she is engaged to Aaron Rodgers.
“For us, this is not new news, so it’s quite funny that everyone is freaking out about it at the moment,” the actress said during an appearance in ‘The Tonight Show’. “We’re like, ‘Yes, we’ve been engaged for a while. ”
The ‘Big Little Lies’ star, 29, overpowered her 37-year-old fiancée and described him as an ‘amazing, incredible person’ and had fun over his career as a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
“I never thought I would be engaged to someone who threw balls,” she joked. “I never thought as a little girl, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yeah! ‘
“But he’s really good at it,” she added. “I’m very impressed.”
Woodley added that she and Rodgers met during the pandemic and admitted that she had never been to a football game before – nor had she watched it.
“I do not know him as the footballer,” she said. ‘I know him like the nerd who’ Jeopardy! ‘Want to house. This is the guy I know. ”
Rumors of a romance between the “Divergent” star and NFL player only started circulating in early February. Days later, Rodgers revealed he was engaged but never mentioned his fiancée.
Rodgers last dated Danica Patrick, while Woodley was previously linked with rugby player Ben Volavola.
