Sex explosion device explosion kills man

Christopher Pekny, a 28-year-old future father from New York, has died after a device he built for his child’s sex public party exploded.

Police in New York responded to reports of an explosion at a home in Liberty City at 11:55 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say the device that Pekny built sexually exploded, killing him and injuring his 27-year-old brother, Michael Pekny.

The state police and the bomb disposal unit are investigating the incident.

Authorities did not specify what kind of device Pekny had built for the party. A New York City police spokesman told BuzzFeed News on Monday that “no charges have been filed so far.”

This is not the first time that gender stunts by families have been fatal.

Last September, a firefighter died in California while battling a massive wildfire caused by a fireworks display used during a family revelation. The El Dorado fire burned more than 19,000 acres, destroyed homes and forced hundreds to flee their homes.

And in 2019, a 56-year-old grandmother was killed when her family made a pipe bomb that exploded while they were planning a gender revelation. The family gathered at their home to experiment with different types of explosives so they could film the announcement for social media.
