According to The New York Times, a lawyer named Tyrone A. Blackburn, is asking California and Georgia authorities to investigate allegations of sexual abuse and assault against rapper TI and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Some of the allegations appeared on social media in January (via Complex), including allegations that they threatened at least one person with a gun, with TI and Harris eventually responding with a statement in which they ’emphatically’ denied the ‘horribly heinous allegations’.

Blackburn has collected accusations from several unknown women, including the Times report described as ‘Two cases of rape’, with the lawyer saying the claims span a decade and are ‘equally grim’. He says none of the women know each other, but The New York Times According to them, there is a “military veteran, a former friend assistant, an exotic dancer and a teen intern at TI’s studio and record company, Grand Hustle.” The times spoke to five women involved who said they had been “intoxicated, raped or sexually assaulted” by TI and Harris or “those in their job”, and the newspaper also spoke to “multiple individuals” who say the accused had tell them about these events. Allegedly, they allegedly happened and also “checked messages or photos that support their timeline of events.” The New York Times story has details about all these allegations, which indeed follow a similar pattern to each other.

Meanwhile, a lawyer for TI and Harris reiterates that they deny the allegations, adding that they fully expect “no charges will come” if police in California or Georgia decide to investigate. The lawyer also says the allegations ‘are a continuation of an uncompromising campaign’ that started on social media and ‘is now trying to manipulate the press and abuse the justice system.’
