Several hundred, including actress Sandra Oh, gathered in Oakland to ‘Stop Asian Hate’

Hundreds of people gathered in Oakland on Saturday for a “Stop Asian Hate” march.

The protest, organized by the state of Thrash, was held to protest an increase in violence against Asian Americans.

Actress Sandra Oh, who is filming the Netflix series “The Chair” in the city, has made a surprising appearance.

A portion of Forbeslaan was cordoned off for about two hours because several people, including Oh, spoke and shared their experiences with the crowd. The group then marched to Carnegie Mellon University Campus.
