When his potentially illegal call with the Secretary of State of Georgia came to an end this week, President Donald Trump now turned his attention to his own vice president for help, declare that Mike Pence “has the power to reject selectors with fraudulent choices.”
“To be clear, Pence does not have the power to just overturn the results, despite Trump’s insistence on Twitter today,” Seth Meyers said Tuesday during his latest segment, “A Closer Look.” “No, he does not,” the Late night host added. ‘All Pence has to do is count. Pence can change the results no more than Vanna White can change the phrase on the board. ”
“Although it’s hard even for Pence to count,” he continued, pointing to a New York Times reported that someone close to the vice-president was quoted as describing his duties on Wednesday as a gut attack, saying he had to balance the president’s misleading views on the government with his years-long preaching of the Constitution. ‘

“I have a hard time believing that Trump even likes Pence now,” Meyers said. “There is no way these two have anything in common other than their desperate desire to exercise power at all costs.”
