Seth Curry thinks Mavs have ‘bad business decision’ to trade him

Mark Cuban is known for making good business decisions.

He still has a seat in the ‘Shark Tank’.

However, according to Seth Curry, Cuban made a bad one that transferred him to Philadelphia this past offseason.

Curry insisted Thursday night that there were no hard feelings when he and the 76ers beat the Dallas Mavericks 111-97. Cubans, he said, simply misunderstood it.

“Never anything personal,” Curry said via USA Today. ‘I have a lot of respect for a lot of the guys there. I just think they made a bad business decision, but it happens all the time, you know what I’m saying? It is what it is.”

Curry was given to Philadelphia in November in exchange for Josh Richardson and a future draft pick. Although it’s early, Curry has a career season with his new team.

He hit a career-high 12.9 points, with 2.7 assists while shooting better than 45 percent from behind the arc – one of the best in the league. He is also a constant starter for the 76ers, having started 25 games last season in Dallas.

The 30-year-old picked up 15 points while also shooting 6-out-9 from the field on Thursday night.

Most importantly, the 76ers win. They have won four of their last five, and are at the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

The Mavericks, on the other hand, are 15-16, though they have won six of their last eight. Richardson’s stats are pretty much identical to Curry’s, as he averaged 12.9 points and 2.6 assists per game in Dallas.

In the end, Curry doesn’t seem to mind. He plays better than ever before. And he is in a team that sits in the first place and achieves a victory again.

‘[It was just] another night to win and play well as a team, ‘Curry said via USA Today. “It’s the ultimate goal to get a win, so the most important thing was to see a lot of my guys at the end of the floor, just catch up and then play again.”
