Sephiroth removes more than 59,000 damage with a single Giga Flare in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

It’s never going to happen in a game, but it’s still cool

Sephiroth is obviously one of the most iconic villains in video game history, so it just seems fitting that he also has the character with the highest damage potential in all of Super Smash Bros. Will be Ultimate.

Content creators Nintendo Unity recently released a video outlining how Sephiroth’s Giga Flare, which normally does 47 percent damage, can be buffered by more than a dozen different multipliers to increase the number above 59,000.

This unprecedented impact is achieved through the use of items, Spirits, stage items, Assist Trophies and the utilization of some menu options that many players have probably never touched.

The biggest increase in damage actually comes from the Vince Assist Trophy, as it multiplies damage under his painting by three who also stack / combine with Sephiroth’s own winged shape lover, Franklin Badges for reflection multipliers, as well as the Dark Emperor from the Find Mii stage. – which can apparently increase a damage by 1.78 times, increases itself.

Giga Flare must also absolutely be performed against Shulk, as his Buster artwork causes him to be damaged 1.3 times due to incoming attacks, and that Sephiroth must also give a boost in the Custom Balance options.

What really pushes the neutral special over the edge is the fact that it technically hits multiple times at full charge, so the combined multipliers lead to a bunch of hits each reaching more than 5,000 percent before the final explosion exceeds 16,000 for a total of 59,275 percent.

Something that’s extra nut is that Sephiroth could probably do more than 100,000 damage if he hits the final Giga Flare reflection with the Home Run Bat, but that’s not set off in the setup here, as the Final Fantasy villain is technically would need a second attack.

If you want to get your attention like Shulk’s health bar through Smash science, we encourage you to watch the full video of Nintendo Unity below to discuss the step-by-step process.
