Sen. Mitt Romney mocked by Trump supporters at airport

Supporters of President Donald Trump mocked Sen Mitt Romney at an airport in Utah for failing to support the president before Congress counting the result of the election.

In a video posted on Twitter, Romney appears to be waiting for his flight from Salt Lake City to Washington, DC in the waiting area, when an angry woman approaches him and yells at him for not meeting President Trump’s claims election fraud scarce.

“Why do you not support President Trump? You do not support him, ” asks the woman.

“I support President Trump,” Romney replied. “I’m sorry, I agree with a lot of the things he works for and I support him.”

The woman was unhappy with the answer and continued to press Romney over the election results.

“It’s a long story, but it’s a constitutional process and the constitution is clear,” Romney said. “I will follow the constitution and explain it all when we meet in Congress this week.”

‘You were elected as a Conservative to represent the Conservative voters. Period, ”the woman barks back.

“That’s not really how the constitution works,” Romney replied before shutting down his laptop and walking away.

Another video show passengers in a plane shouting: ‘Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!”

Romney has said he will vote to ratify President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory.

The Republican senator even called on his fellow GOP colleagues to oppose the result of the presidential election.

“The serious ploy to reject voters may strengthen the political ambition of some, but threaten our Democratic Republic dangerously,” Romney said in a statement Sunday.

‘The power of Congress to reject voters has been reserved for the most extreme and unusual circumstances. It’s not long yet. More Americans participated in this election than ever before, and they made their choice. ”
