The gruesome video shows the woman being pushed into the raging river by a stumbling man.
Another person died to take selfie – this time by a person doing exactly the same thing.
The tragic accident took place on January 3 near Kanakunda in Odisha, India, when the woman, identified as Nirupama Prajapati, tried to take a photo of herself near fast flowing rapids on the river Ib.
The awful video, shot by her friends, shows Prajapati was standing anxiously on the edge of the turbulent waters as she tried to take a perfect shot.

But right behind her, a man climbed over the rocks to try to do the same, but lost his foot and slipped and knocked into her.
Prajapati’s screams could even be heard above the roaring water as she cringed; she held on for a moment before slipping under the foam.
According to India Today, firefighters and her family searched the water for 22 hours until they finally found her body in a rock crevice, almost 500 meters from where she fell.
Selfie deaths are becoming a common occurrence: just last month, a mother of two died at a famous Australian beauty spot after ignoring warning signs and climbing over a safety barrier before slipping and falling over the 260-foot cliff.
