Selena Gomez proved she was her own best ad when she made a bold red lip look from her cosmetics company Rare Beauty on Tuesday morning.

The 28-year-old songwriter, as always, looked striking in the close-up recording, which was shared on the brand’s Instagram.

Later that day, the singer unveiled a new article on album art and the playlist for her upcoming Spanish language EP, titled Revelacion.

Part of the proceeds from the line will be used for the Rare Impact Fund, which provides mental health services to low-income communities.

In an interview with Refinery29, the hitmaker said she intended to create beauty products that were versatile in use and made with non-harmful ingredients.

Specifically, Gomez said, “I wanted this line to feel like everything fit together, and that you could trust it.”

She also talked about how she proposed Rare Beauty as a business that actively made a difference in the lives of its customers.

“Besides giving access to so many different shades and colors, I also want people to feel that they have a community to explore and resources that are useful to them,” she said.

Shortly after the message from Rare Beauty was made, Gomez unveiled the playlist for her upcoming EP Revelacion and a new article on album art.

The songwriter teased a Spanish project for the first time in 2011, but paid little attention to the idea over the next few years.

On January 14, the artist released the single De Una Vez, which apparently confirms the suspicion that she followed up with her statement in the past.

On the same day, a music video of the song premiered on Gomez’s official YouTube account and he received praise for the footage.

Further speculations about the project were raised when murals with different song titles were installed in the city of Mexican coast Sayulita.

Later that month, Gomez officially made the EP available for pre-order and shortly thereafter released the single Baila Conmigo.

The upcoming release will consist of seven songs, three of which feature features by artists Rauw Alejandro, Myke Towers and DJ Snake.

Revelacion will be released on March 12th.
