Foo Fighters performed their song ‘Times Like These’ during a special celebration of ‘Celebrating America’ in honor of Joe Biden’s inauguration as the 46th President of the United States. Before the performance, Grohl gave a quick speech on teachers, including Dr. Jill Biden and his mother Virginia Grohl. It’s a performance that starts calmly but uploads. See how it happens below.

“This year, our teachers faced unprecedented challenges, but through dedication and creativity, they faced the challenges,” Grohl said. ‘This next song is for Mackenzie [Adams] and all our steadfast teachers who enlighten the children of our country every day. ”

Other artists during the Inauguration Day celebrations included Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Katy Perry, New Radicals and others.

Foo Fighters have released three songs since releasing their upcoming LP Medicine at midnight. They released ‘No Son of Mine’ and ‘Waiting on a War’ earlier this month, and ‘Shame Shame’ debuted on SNL in November. The album will be released on February 5th.

Tonight’s Celebrating America Inauguration event also features performances by Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons, John Legend, and more. Katy Perry ended the evening with her hit “Firework.”
