Section 2 to get a game mode completely new for the franchise late 2021 • Eurogamer.net

Will be back to running the previous seasons in the meantime.

Section 2 will get a game mode that is completely new to the franchise in its next major update, which is currently planned for the end of 2021.

Ubisoft Massive said it is also looking at new ways players can promote their agent, with an emphasis on greater variety and viability.

Ubisoft Massive has warned that this new update is still in the early stages of development, and it will take several months to complete. So it’s early 2021. “We’ll take this time to make sure we make a significant change to the game,” Ubisoft Massive said in a blog post.

In the meantime, Ubisoft Massive will ‘run back’ previous seasons released during The Division 2’s second year. The next season (season 5) will therefore be presented again from season 2. Ubisoft Massive said it gives players the chance to collect rewards and collectibles previously missed.

Players can also expect regular leagues and global events, new clothing opportunities and some minor title updates that focus on game health.

The news comes when Ubisoft announced that the Division franchise had reached more than 40 million unique players. The release of the Warlords of New York expansion in March 2020 also has the highest monthly active users for The Division 2. Ubisoft said this strong activity has been maintained over the past year.

Players assumed that The Division 2’s fourth season, called End of Watch, would be its last season. After all, it’s called End of Watch, and developer Ubisoft Massive is launching an Avatar game and a new Star Wars game.

But Ubisoft had a change of heart because it cost the players’ “continued support”.
