For Darrell Taylor, the year ends on a pessimistic note. In mid-December, when asked again about the rookie’s status, Pete Carroll told reporters this was the last chance for Taylor to get involved before the end of the season. While Taylor was unable to practice immediately after Carroll’s claim, 2021 started on a positive note.
Taylor was officially named to train back by the team on Tuesday, and opened a three-week window for the pasrusher to train and possibly be activated for the 53-man squad. The second round was on the NFI list all season due to a power outage suffered in Tennessee.
Pete Carroll said Darrell Taylor is practicing today. This will be the first practice for newcomer DE, who has been on the non-football list all season. # Seahawks

While it’s going to be a huge long shot for Taylor to play, and certainly to make a contribution, in the Seahawks’ remaining games, it will even be a positive turn after a few months to even a few practices to take.
Regardless of whether Taylor appears for Seattle this season or not, we can now expect him to have a healthy off-season and a long lead on an important second season.
